After consultation with operatives from Guardians of Justice we report situation dire. Although several Syndicate operatives captured or incapacitated in Littletown encounter, we are informed that Syndicate has deciphered whereabouts of potential extra-terrestrial weapons cache in Egypt at an uninhabited location along one of Nile tributaries.

We have agreed to allow Guardians operatives to attempt to stop Syndicate from capturing base or acquiring said weapons. We are cautious about new operative that has joined them. Starslayer, aka Joan Indiana, has revealed herself to be of other-worldly origin. It is unknown at this time whether she can be trusted, but is believed to have crucial information necessary for successful completion of mission. Additionally, former Syndicate operative Speed Demon is being taken by Guardians on mission. Although this operative has shown an apparent turn in allegiance we are dubious that this turn will last for more than this next encounter. We have asked Guardians to show extreme caution.

Guardians report a successful engagement of Syndicate at extra-terrestrial Egyptian base along Denile River, though several operatives took injuries, but none seen as life-threatening. Syndicate left area but evaded pursuit. Have tried to secure base, but have been unable to penetrate outer wall due to special shielding of unknown design that appeared once Guardians left area. We continue to study problem and hope to penetrate shielding soon.

BADGE operatives on scene report signals emanating from base on regular basis. Signals use a bandwidth unknown to us. We continue to monitor the signals and our code breakers are working around the clock to decipher the signals.

We have also discovered that an unauthorized access of BADGE headquarter schematics was made several days ago. We have yet to find perpetrator, but we suspect that a Syndicate operative may have infiltrated. All passwords have been changed and access is restricted to non-essential personnel per Level 1 protocols. I have put Area 15 on Code Orange alert.

Although we do not know the nature of the occurrences we are currently tracking in Egypt, or if it is related to the unauthorized access here, we suspect that there may be a serious threat about to manifest itself.
